Create a gallery or an album for your digital images. Upload files from photo cameras or other sources and sort them by format, size or type, create a browsing interface and customize the viewing mode. The suite features interface customization and supports updates.
FlipAlbumallows users to organize their pictures into realistic digital photo albums, but there's a learning curve involved and some of the more useful features aren't available until you pay for an upgrade. It is easy to use, yet highly customizable, and is suitable for both beginners and experts.

17 years ago I shot a wedding for a couple that were friends of my sister, who I met again at my sister's 80th Birthday party. I still had a copy of the FlipAlbum CD/DVD that I made for them. I haven't used FlipAlbum in over 10 years. So I copied all of the files into a folder on my Windows 10 PC. But the FlipAlbum does not open. I'll have to do some research if I can get to work without the CD/DVD.
Hi Gene, I also have this problem, I have to put the serial registration in each time I want to open it. It does not retain it. But it opens and I can work with it just fine,
both pro 5.5 and suite 4
SET- BOOK - SIZE This one just sizes the book its self in the window.
The "page_content_size" attribute allows you to define the size of the page content area(excluding page margins) in pixels. USE COVER SIZE you want HERE.
The basic problem with FA 5.5 is that the album will always resize itself to fit the monitor used for viewing. Even if I could make a FA look nice in the "no-window" mode on a 17" monitor at 768x1024 resolution, it may not be what I designed when viewed on a 15" or 19" monitor. I can't decide the user's screen preference, but I can define my album.
When I want control over my album and design; I set the FlipAlbum parameters so that the album maintains a fixed size. This also allows me to edit in the album with the toolbar and window frame in place - and when the window frame and toolbar are not visible, the album remains the same exact size it was when I designed it. This is true viewed from a website or from a CD.
I do this by making a small change in the .opf. It can be done at any time, but I like to make the change when I begin with the album. I first create my new album and save it.
close FA and then reopen the book after changing the .opf
Then I open the .opf file in notepad.
In the meta tag section I add:
Code:
I then change the resize from yes to no in the .opf:
Code:
After the changes I save the .opf file and close notepad.
then reopen the book after changing the .opf
The book size is now fixed to the size I gave (768x1024). I could have selected another size like 800x600 or 1024x1280 (or any other size). The important thing is that this album will now retain its size and design - it will not change even when viewed on a larger screen.
Now I can edit with the toolbar in place. If I want to see the album without the window frame, I just click F2 and F2 again to bring back the window frame. When the album is complete I will select the option to open without the window frame.
Thank you so much!! I will try!!
